Me describiría a mi mismo como

I am a active and young for my age lady.I keep in shape by riding my horses & i bike 6-8 miles/day/5days a wk. I owna business & have raised & raced quarter horses for @ 40 yrs. Don't run the race horses anymore, but it was a great ride while it lasted! I have also trained & run barrel horses as you had to have something to do with the ones that couldn't out run their own shawdow on the track! I know the value of hard work & long days and have done almost every aspect of ranch work. I know the difference between a wrench & a screwdriver, can drive a tractor & a forklift, know which end of the manure fork picks up the poop, & if batting the eyelashes will work to get a guy to use the manual post hole digger instead of doing it yourself...bat them lashes & let him at it! I study & practice Natural Horsemanship Methods & find that "feel" usually works with both horses & people. I am totally at ease in either corporate dress, decorum, & speech; or in boots & jeans in the barn or pasture. I am a lady & a cowgirl all in one package...well, maybe I lean a bit more to the cowgirl side! I live & breathe the western way of life & horses & enjoy a starry night around a campfire, riding through wide open spaces on a good horse, & seeing my cowboy's smile across the fence we're building together. am a "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade" type of person. People tell me that my personality "sparkles"---hope that doesn't mean I may spontaneously combust someday! I am kind, giving, very honest, & bold yet sensitive. I have extreme patience with most things including amimals, old people, & those less fortunate. Not so much patience with mechanical breakdowns & computers! I am very easy going with a quick wit & expansive sense of humor & enjoy that in my partner. I am well rounded as I have played the violin for many yrs in college & youth symphony orchestras. Then I would throw on my jeans & boots & win state & national championships in the arena with my horses. It makes me uncomfortable to tell all the "good" things about myself, as a big turn off for me is arrogance. I, like all of us, have faults...the secret is to find someone whose faults you can live with or that don't bother you. And, shucks...let's just say it...I am a big romantic & want a man that can respond to & entertain that for me. I am a "touchy-feely" kind of woman who likes a "slide on over here on the seat next to me, honey" type of man. I want my cowboy to want to hold my hand in the daytime & be thinking about having his arms around me at night. I am very sensitive to his touch & his words when there is caring behind them. I like to find little thoughtful ways to surprise & please him & make him S-M-I-L_E! Thoughtfulness & politeness are important to me to get & to give. I can be soft as a kitten when I tiptoe into your arms, yet tough & full of fight if trouble comes poking it's nose around me or mine. I have guts. When comitted to someone, I will always have their back & "ride for the brand". I have learned life holds no promises of tomorrow, so one needs to laugh & love...both..a lot! I have been alone for quite some time & can handle it pretty well. But, sittin' on the front porch watching the storm move in on a summer's evening just isn't so enjoyable to do alone anymore. There is a lot bottled up inside this ol' cowgirl to give & it needs to be enjoyed by a special cowboy. So, if you are a cowboy with guts, loyalty, a good work ethic, a ready laugh, a soft touch, a love of his dogs & horses & an empty pair of arms you want filled...give me a shout. I tend to look at the appearance of the heart before I look at the appearance of the contenance. I live by the Bible & the cowboy code & would like a man who loves his God & believes in this also. A big ol' mustache &/or a neatly kept beard is an added bonus for me. Remember: "Don't turn your back on your angel, & don't run from the song of your soul"....Happy Trails!
