Me describiría a mi mismo como
I grew up in Ontario but moved to Alberta in 2012 to start my teaching career.
I love sports (playing and coaching). I did the more traditional sports in high school (basketball, volleyball, track) and then spent four years of my undergrad fencing. I'm a huge hockey fan, especially the junior leagues and I'm always up for watching a game whether it's live, at a pub, or curled up on the couch.
I got most of my partying out of my system while I was at Western but I love backyard bonfires or pub nights for hanging out with friends.
I'm Catholic and that has become more and more an important part of my identity as I've gotten older. I'll be teaching in the Catholic School Board and getting a job with them was something I took pretty seriously just based on my own experiences in that part of the school system.
I have two tattoos (lower back and ankle) that both have a lot of meaning for me. I'm all for guys with ink, especially when there are stories to go with the art.
I grew up taking piano and vocal lessons with most of my favourite pieces being country or from musicals but I listen to pretty much anything. As long as I can sing along I'm happy! I also really enjoy writing poetry.
When I wasn't in class or fencing at university I was a very active member of my sorority, especially when it came to charity events.
In the next few years I want to mark two things off my bucket list: skydiving, and bungee jumping. I crossed off ziplining and EdgeWalk this summer.
