I'm a Mom...My daughter & my bonus daughter (my niece) are my reasons!

I'm human. I'm far from perfect. I make mistakes. I fall short sometimes, but I believe in trying to be a better person today than I was yesterday.

I'm a country girl. Although I only spent the first 13 years of my life growing up in the country, it forever ingrained in me a hard work ethic, a never give up mentality, a genuine sense of obligation to help your neighbor, a true understanding of the word family, an awareness that there's a level of pride that only comes from working with your hands and a deep respect for land around me. I love my truck (yes, I can change my own tire & drive a stick), country music (nothing would make my heart pitter-patter like a good smelling man spinning me round a dance floor 'til my legs fall off), shooting guns (which I can break down & clean myself), horseback riding (yep, I can handle my own saddle & bridle), fishing (of course I bait my own hook & can cast rod) and the list goes on. I'll choose a backyard barbecue/boil over a restaurant any day of the week! Although I'm more tom-boy than girlie-girl, doesn't mean I wouldn't love to get all dolled up and go dancing or put the extra effort into making you proud to show up somewhere with me on your arm!

I'm a die-hard outdoor enthusiast. I'd much rather be outdoors, getting sweaty and filthy than sitting in the air condition in front of a screen or device of some sort (which is not to say, If it's an outdoor activity, count me in...whether it's clearing brush or spending the day slinging mud on ATV's...and although I have a profound appreciation for how a horseback ride or float down the river can calm your mind and heal your soul, nothing makes me feel more alive than something that challenges me to push past the fear of taking that first step (like repelling off a cliff)! Most of my best days have ended with my hair tangled, body aching and dirt circling the shower drain!

I'm a passionate person with "big feels" (do not mistake this for drama...I see no need for it) I love with my whole heart. I derive extreme joy from the littlest things. I wear my heart on my sleeve. When I'm hurt, I feel it to my core. Due to the unthinkable, physical, psychological and traumas I have not only survived, but persevered through over the span of my life, I am genuinely compassionate and empathetic for those I encounter and have a sincere desire to learn all the details of the journey that made them the person they are today.

I'm equal parts, realist and dreamer. I've never believed that a "fairytale" kind of love exists; however, I dream about finding a partner with whom to build that "country song" kind of love. The truth is, love is hard and to obtain a truly happy, healthy, strong relationship requires effort...a willingness to do the work, every damn day, from both parties. What actually gives your life purpose and meaning won't just fall in your lap! If you both do your part, the good days will build a strong enough foundation to help you weather the ones that aren't.

I'm a DIY addict (epic understatement!) I have a deeply personal connection to my power tools. I find it very cathartic to take broken, damaged, unwanted things that people see no value in and transforming them into something beautiful. I'm also a "tried & true" believer in the power and benefit of sledgehammer therapy.

I'm a perfectionist. Though i'm fully aware that perfection only exists in nature, It's something I strive for every day..."good enough" is not part of my vocabulary! If something is worth doing, it's worth doing right. Whether it's people or projects, I'm simply not wired to give less than 110%...I'm without question, a "go big or go home" kinda girl!
