I'm a widow since Aug. 2020, married short of 50 years. Moved from Arizona to Iowa to be near my daughter. I prefer rural living and casual dress. I’ll try to give you some insight. I’m a bit shy until I feel comfortable, even temperament, curious and I believe myself to be down to earth, independent personality with a thin streak of rebel in me, I have a cautious and passionate heart. Consider myself very loyal, trustworthy, positive attitude, resilient, with a good sense of humor. I like animals. I like to dance but have two left feet and I enjoy a variety of genres of old, Blues (BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, Van Morrison, Etta James), Soul (Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye), Classic Country (Willie Nelson, George Strait, Jim Reeves, Don Williams, Chris Stapleton), Traditional Pop (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin), Classic Rock, (Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Bob Seager), Reggae (Bob Marley), to name a few. I’m a parrothead at heart Jimmy Buffett. Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears – it is a remedy; a tonic, music has healing power. I love meeting new folks, BBQs, drinking beers with family and friends. I also like walking the beach at low tide, sunsets anywhere, camping, and adventurous road trips when budget allows. I delight in being on the water, but I can't swim. I like playing cards and some board games in winter, never tried golf, but have played croquet at parties (LOL). I like classic trucks and cars. I used to ride on the back of my husband’s Aspencade motorcycle exploring different parts of the US. I’ve always had fun shooting targets with my daughter. One day I would like to learn how to play Pool. I’ve currently finished reading a book; a biography of the fish that changed the world, COD by Mark Kurlansky. I’m interested in history and fossils. Politically, my views are Conservative-Constitutionalist. I would like to meet a man who can bring a smile to my face and laughter back into my life. Treats me with respect, who is honest, loyal and has similar values.

La mia idea di divertimento è

I know I had a lot of fun when Jimmy Buffett was alive and the many concerts I went to. The party in the parking lot was always fun and full of friendly characters. I also think it's fun to party with family and friends at home or out in public. It's also great to just relax by the fire, with someone special and/or enjoy soft music, read a book, or talk about the day.

I’m looking for a man of integrity, long term commitment, a sincere and confident man who makes me laugh, man who can put a smile on my face. Someone whose company I really enjoy. A guy who finds the positives in things – and encourages me to do the same. A friend who respects me and holds similar values. Trust and communication are important to me, I’m not good at reading minds. A partner, that he holds himself to high standards of honesty and integrity. Hopefully we share mutual interests, we don’t need to like all the same things, but some overlaps can make a big difference. A man who is supportive and has my back, as I will have his.
