I Would Describe Myself As

Three passions, in the order they were discovered: Painting, Horses, Theatre. I was born and raised on a ranch in the Sierra-Nevada Foothills. As a teen, I rode and showed Hunter-Jumpers, Arabians (Saddle-Seat, Costume, Side-Saddle, English, and Dressage).I began specializing in Side-Saddle on the flat and over fences when I started the migration over to Theatre. I was, more or less, given the ultimatum of "live at home forever with mom and dad while persuing a career as a professional show equestrian" OR "strike out and chase after theatre". My trainer gave me the simplest and most life altering advice to date: "Hun, the horses will always be here for you to come back to. Don't resent them by not taking this other chance". So, there ya go. Moved to LA, felt like I lost my spirit; and, by some fluke chance became entangled with a with a theatre company that specializes in Shakespeare and horses and bam. Girl be back. So much decisive clarity has plumed since I started riding again: I know that I must have riding, animals, country, horses, in my life very presently. Like a defibrillator, I didn't know how weak my heart was until I felt the blood pumping at my normal pace again. So, here we are. =)
