Men have described me as a blue eyed, blonde haired girl next door. Born and raised in beautiful SE Michigan, I love getting my hands dirty in the garden, being barefoot in grass and a bonfire with friends. I've been in NY for 20 years, never imagined I'd stay this long, but I have a great career that's hard to leave. I've been on my own for years, live alone and take pride in being self sufficient and capable while still being deeply appreciative of a real man who treats me like a lady. I enjoy keeping a nice home, I love to garden and bake, and believe in respecting a man's convictions about traditional roles. Just because I make my own money and don't "need" a man to take care of me doesn't make me any less of a caring or sensual woman. My work satisfies my intellectual needs and involves enough fancy events that when the workday is over I want to live my personal life simply and honestly. Weekends are always about escaping to hike, swim, laugh and doze off under the stars. But I have a hard time fitting into any one description, I'm very athletic, but I'm also happy reading, I live in Manhattan but I'm a lark and up by 5:30 everyday. I'm equally comfortable in a museum or a rodeo and listen to everything from Classical to Country. I love a nice Champagne as much as a Budweiser. NY men have not been good to me, so I haven't dated in about 3 years. I'd rather be alone than be with someone who is so crass and self centered I feel lonely. Yeah, I am generalizing and there are a lot of good guys out there, but they aren't for me.
Here's the 411- work out regularly, am in great shape (sorry if that sounds conceited) it's more to maintain my lifestyle and be able to do what I want that's physically challenging than worrying about "getting fat". I am a real blonde, petite but not fragile and very easy to please, it really takes very little. So if you are looking for maturity, patience, and a woman who never asks you "whats wrong" or gets her nose out of joint because you don't want to have brunch with her friends (although I hate brunch unless it's in bed...) I might be worth a try.
