Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay in VA, I am a true water girl. I love boating, just being on the ocean, lake or by any mountain stream. I am a multi-faceted person who enjoys watching sports and movies, listening to most all music(especially blues), playing card and board games. I have attended holiday balls and raised horses, a bit of a dichotomy. I read 2 books a week. Put me in a library, and I may never come out! I am semi-retired, have never stolen from my grandmother, and I don't trip small children. I am a Christian, and although I do not attend church every Sunday, I have a strong belief in God and would want to be in a relationship with someone who believes in a higher power. I may not need a man but I do want a good man in my life. In the words of a song by Louis Armstrong, "What a Wonderful World...Yeah..!!"
I have 2 grown daughters, 2 grandsons, a 4 yr old Doberman Pinscher and a recently rescued kitten. I am very affectionate and a big hugger! I spend alot of quality time with family and friends. I love to entertain at home and I love to travel. Just returned from an 8 day Caribbean Cruise. I enjoy cooking for family and friends, but not for just me.
If you smoke...or are trying to quit, or drinking a bottle of Crown in one night, those are dealbreakers. I plan on entering my "Golden Years" making new and happy memories. I don't argue and am not combative. I like open, honest and gentle communication.
I am self-supporting, not needy, greedy, jealous or insane. I am a strong advocate for animal rights. Although a nature lover, I am not overly crazy about Kimodo Dragons or Cobras! My sense of humor has no bounds and has gotten me through the tough as well as the good times. I am no longer "running against the wind." (Bob Seger) My photos are under 12 months old.
I like an intelligent man who knows how to laugh and can talk about a variety of topics. He is strong in his beliefs and has high moral values. He loves family, enjoys adventure/nature and finds something nice in every day.
