Yes, I am Woman! I push doors that are clearly marked PULL. I laugh harder when I'm trying to explain why I'm laughing. I walk into a room and forget why I'm there. I count on my fingers when doing math. I try to give you the short version of a story but then get side tract and backtrack many times making it almost impossible to follow. My tear ducts are hardwired to almost all of my emotions so I cry when I'm happy, sad, angry, proud, sympathetic... (you get my point). I play “beat the clock” trying to do things before the microwave beeps. I wear outrageously high heels, even though they kill my feet. I get excited about a new appliance, big or small. I will never be thin enough, pretty enough, or smooth enough. I suddenly remember something very important I have to do right before I fall asleep. When I'm dieting, I dream about doughnuts. I plan the outfit I will wear for a special occasion, days (sometimes weeks) in advance, changing my mind and getting frustrated several times in the process. I have a specific configuration for the dishwasher so I will most likely redistribute after you leave the room (but I will appreciate your efforts and good intensions). I randomly blurt out song lyrics or movie quotes relating to what you’ve just said. And I will, at some point, burn your dinner because I am immersed in a really good part of a book.
