Wincing at the thought of meeting online. Casual dating and making friends is, I believe a place to start. Getting to know one another through shared timed out and about (sharing in exploring the outdoors, a movie, meal, events) I think it would be nice if it went something like... falling into one another's lives because we were both at the same place at the same time and one decided to take the chance to speak to the other..... and then find along the way that we have something nice to build on...no???....still waiting for something like this to come full circle...so, here it goes:
I don't like to swear...but if I do, it's random and due to hurting or frightening myself and/or breaking something.(I'm not a prude though)
I pick up ants and spiders.... and carry them outside (mosquitoes on the other hand, are annoying especially when camping, hiking, canoeing or kayaking, or sitting on the patio having a fabulous night with visiting friends/family)
I prefer to have my children(2, who, one, being well on the way to becoming a young adult and the other soon-to-be-there) tired, dirty, healthy and happy from playing and exploring outside or in a book, riding horses, walking the dog, eating well, collecting things and making memories instead of mushy bodies and brains playing video games, on the computer or watching tv (though watching the news is a good way to relax and a game night of wii, AFV or movies is fun too) I'm not saying never, I just prefer a healthy lifestyle most of the time, it is important to me. My "life" isn't Fort Knox though.
Not much more excites me than exploring our surroundings, locally or elsewhere, day trip down the road or a few hours away, a weekend or ? Hopefully you don't lose your patience easily, as I direct us 200 km off course, as my navigation skills are less than perfect. Time spent with a nice book or the newspaper, first morning tea or coffee, conversation, working in the yard, walks along the beach, bike or trail rides are all simple pleasures as well.
And, not much more invigorates me than a good run through the trails or if I am really lucky, time spent on the water.
Humour (with a kind soul...and if you fall, there is a good chance that I may be the first to laugh, but you can count on me to be the first to give you my hand), patience, wit, self-confidence (not narcissism), a willingness to learn and teach new things to/with one another (humility) cheekiness(wit :) ), takes care of himself inside and out (healthy balance), positive attitude are what I am attracted to. And perhaps you have been through some you-know-what but you have pulled yourself through. What you drive and wear aren't so important to me, but what your aspirations and dreams are, is.
Although many days I find myself busy, and I am in a bit of a stepping-stone stage in my life at the moment, it won't be forever. I always make time for those in my life who are important to me... the time together is important to me, and I care about this most of all. I aim to make my life as simple and as fun, and to enjoy the moments as much as possible! :)
